At Photobooth Supply Co, we are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Hardware and Technical Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to assist photo booth owners in succeeding with their hardware. This will involve troubleshooting and investigating hardware-related issues, utilizing your natural problem-solving skills. Your curiosity and drive to identify the root cause of every scenario will be invaluable in providing effective support to our customers.
As a Hardware and Technical Support Engineer, it is essential that you possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. Your ability to effectively communicate with customers and collaborate with our team will be crucial in delivering top-notch support. Additionally, keeping your technical knowledge up to date is vital to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving field.
While not required, any experience with photography would be considered a plus. It will allow you to better understand our customers' needs and provide more tailored technical support.
Work Schedule
The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 3 pm Pacific Time. Please ensure that you are available during these hours before applying.
Role and Responsibilities
To excel in this position, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of technical support experience, demonstrating a strong troubleshooting ability across various technical situations.
- Proficiency in using software and technology at an intermediate to advanced level.
- An enthusiastic interest in understanding hardware, with a penchant for dismantling and reassembling objects.
- Confident communication skills and the willingness to ask questions, investigate issues, and share your findings with the team.
- Proven customer support abilities, answering inquiries with patience, troubleshooting skills, and a touch of quick wit.
- The ability to educate team members about products while independently staying up to date with the latest technical knowledge.
- Attention to detail, including a firm grasp of grammar and a fondness for the Oxford comma.
- Demonstration of empathy through both verbal and written responses.
- A team-oriented mindset and a delight in collaborating with others to find innovative solutions.
- Experience with photography would be an added advantage.
